In the year Angola celebrates 50 years of independence, the publishing house Perfil Criativo is proud to present “Crónicas do Homem – Thoughts on Our Society and Our Country”, authored by Manuel Homem, engineer, politician, and current Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Angola.

With engaging and accessible writing, Manuel Homem offers a collection of chronicles that reflect on the present and future of the country, addressing topics such as social evolution, economic challenges, education, spirituality, politics, technology, and African identity.

The author, with extensive experience in governance — having previously served as Governor of Luanda and Minister of Telecommunications and Social Communication — builds a lucid and critical narrative about the contemporary dilemmas facing Angola and Africa. One of his greatest strengths is his commitment to humanism and ethics, values that underpin each reflection in this work.
